Frustration Hit Cultural Miss@ Shoe Gate

Hate speech and shoe throwing unfortunately have already become a defining moment of campaigning in 2009.Howerver this is in no way a sensible display. There are many other ways to put forward your point, express your dissatisfaction and agony. There is Public Grievance Redressal System. Imitating some foreign imported display of dissatisfaction is a week attempt and a disgrace for our Country.
This might grab the media attention and you can become a part of news and may momentary hurt the ego of the person but will also give opportunity to laugh at by the rest of the world. There is a chain of shoe gate incidents this political season. The four major political leaders to be targeted with the shoes in this election season, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Home Minister P Chidambaram, BJP’s Prime Ministerial Candidate L K Advani and M P Navin Jindal .
This is becoming a trend now to show the protest against the political leaders including the former Us President George W Bush and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. Throwing a shoe at someone is an insult in India. We, Indians, have some values and Culture in our blood and belong to a country which is appreciated for its rich heritage. It is not a healthy practice to throw shoes on our Leader; rather we should sensibly use the power of vote and select the right deserving member who can bring a positive change in our society. Throwing shoe at the public meetings only reflect our culture and will give bad message to the World. We need to follow the right approach and set good example for the young generation after all they will only follow our footsteps.
